Thanks, Nikhil! I'm always open to advice. I wondered what the Poetry Block was. Got that sussed, looks better.
Captions, will do from now on.
Where do I find out about Ko-Fi? Is it just a matter of creating an account and using a button, as a tip jar? I don't want to offer extra for paying subscribers until I have a solid base. Does Substack have rules about that? Don't they want a cut?
My plan was to get more followers before looking for income, so working on getting content and sharing on Twitter.
I've set up a Ko-Fi account Nikhil, but when I try to embed a tip jar, code goes in the right place, but it doesn't create the banner. Is there something else I have to do to enable it? Thanks so much for your advice!
I think we can't create the banner under present circumstances. I just leave a Custom Button via Substack's editor, linking to my Ko-Fi page and hope people know what to do next! :) Check out one of my previous posts to see what I've done.
Hey, it's me, your #1 fan. A few suggestions:
There's an option in the post editor, under More Buttons called Poetry Block. That could be useful for preserving spacing between lines and verses.
Try adding captions to your pictures.
Consider getting a Ko-Fi account so that you can accept one-time payments or tips.
