Vivid memories of the murder house at my NZ primary school ... I recall biting the dental nurse the first time they tried a filling πŸ˜… not a popular move. My experience in OZ as dentists look at my extensive array of amalgam fillings is "Oh a NZer mouth ... " πŸ˜‰

Lol, that's not very friendly. I remember someone telling the dentist one day, "You hurt me and I'll hurt you." One of my old school mates. I used that psychology on my german Shepherd pup when she was little and didn't know her strength. She bit me, and I bit her. I don't know if it helped or not, but after that her bites were always gentle and playful.

I hear you, Luigi. Your story reminded me of my orthodontist when I was a kid. Looking back, I don’t think they understood, or perhaps even cared, about the psychological side of treating children. They were cold, dismissive and seemed to believe that fear and compliance were the same thing. They definitely left lasting emotional damage. Horrible. I’m glad you found Dr. Loong!
